We Are IH is a new recognition campaign to spotlight our people in a real way – through pictures and stories that allow their authenticity to shine through! Each month, four Interior Health employees or medical staff will be featured through our News@IH website and our weekly In the Loop Roundup email newsletter.
Judith is extremely resourceful, always finding a way to get the job done. Over the past 26 years of service at Interior Health as the Admitting/Reception/Logistics Clerk for Slocan Community Health Centre, Judith has touched the lives of many and provided exceptional service that ensures that patients are being cared for in the way best possible. Inspired by her love of helping others, Judith is proud every time that she is thanked for providing incredible service.
Born in Southern Alberta and raised in Southern Saskatchewan, Judith has created a home in the community of New Denver in the Kootenays in the ancestral area of Ktunaxa (Tun-ah-hah) / Kootenay. With a passion for gardening Judith grows a delicious garden with the incredible weather and growing climate in New Denver, Southern Interior British Columbia. When Judith isn’t working you can find her exploring the beautiful outdoors walking through scenic trails or paddling her kayak on Slocan Lake. Her bright spirit brings cheer to those around her with her love of dancing trying to encourage others to join her in her favourite form of exercise.
As an avid traveler, this year has looked a bit different but Judith has continued to explore close to home and looks forward to seeing the world feel safe again. We are so thankful for all of the hard work of our staff, especially this year, and we couldn’t get through this without all of you by our side. Thank you, Judith!

Judith’s nomination of Brent Oversby keeps the We Are IH loop going:
“I would nominate our Maintenance Worker, Brent Oversby. Things break down, need installing, or need modification. He is always willing to solve the task with a smile. He is an asset to our facility.”
